Twirl Around the World!

Without abandoning my original intent for this blog of walking & fitness, I want to expand it to include my WALK with the Lord and our Spiritual Health!

I want to fulfill the purpose God has for me, bring Him glory, and bless as many others I can along my journey!

Praying you will receive a blessing for journeying with me along this path!

Cleaning the Fan

Cleaning
the grills of my little bitty bathroom fan was disgusting. It's only about six inches in diameter. Yet, the dust that had accumulated was enough to fill a small Dixie cup! Trapped and clinging onto the grates, both front and back, the tightly-woven dust clumps resisted my attempts to remove them, even using an alcohol-moistened Q-Tip, in fact, several!

Eventually, I got the can of "compressed air" to try to blast them free--hardly anything moved. Seemed I'd have to continue using the tedious hands-on approach--section-by-section--pulling out hidden clumps of dirtiness a little at a time until I had made it all the way around to every one of the little dirt-encrusted places. Over and over, some had to be repeated to successfully remove the grime.

Regardless of my efforts, there was still residue from the dust that was simply too hard to remove or too far from the reach of my Q-Tip. Yet, compared to what condition it had been in previously, it was nearly pristine! At least it didn't repulse me when I looked at it! And it blew clean air, not dirt-tainted air! It was doing what it was designed to do!

This whole experience
makes me think of our relationship with God, and how He has to take us down sometimes to clean our sin-encrusted crevasses. It takes time. And, in this world, we'll never be completely sin-less, but with Christ's cleansing power, neither must we have sin cling all over us either! We can now be free to do what God designed US to do!
