may be a bit in question. I was entirely TOO sleepy to depart when I got myself ready around 7:20AM. This NARCOLEPSY thing is SO frustrating, even for a "Turtle"! However, I know to listen to my body. I had already pulled my left neck muscle upon awakening (pain!), and knew I had a lot to do in a short amount of time since we were planning to depart for Blue Mountain shortly after Billy gets off work today. So, the BEST thing i could do for my body (remember, God's Temple) was to go back to sleep for a little nap! My narcolepsy doctor had told me that the best "treatment" for this condition is not the medication that keeps me alert/awake, but for me to get 10-12 hours of sleep every night, then to take an hour (or little more) nap every morning and the same every afternoon! Do I do that? Of course, NOT! Therefore, it catches up with me, so I end up HAVING to simply stop and SLEEP, regardless of WHEN the sleep urge strikes me! At these times, my need for SLEEP overrides my "need" to WALK!After my nap
I awoke much more refreshed, relaxed, and alert--ready to tackle the tasks that were necessary before leaving town today...although I would still need to rush a bit were I to meet our departing deadline! Since there's a fine walking trail a block from our place in Blue Mountain behind Town Hall, I also know that I can certainly walk on it, once I get to Blue Mountain...especially since it does not get dark until 8:00pm or so, AND the trail is lighted. Sometimes, I realize, like earlier this week on Tire Day, I must be flexible with my goal of walking every weekday--where and when I do it! However, I am still going to try to achieve that goal, even if I need to alter those aspects--I don't want to forfeit until/unless I absolutely must!
Will let you all know about my BLUE MOUNTAIN WALK tonight after I finish it!
Tootles,
Turtle Girl
